Class Descriptions

  • Parent & Me I:

    5 - 18 months

    Parent & Me II:

    18 months - 2.5 years

Ideal for infant and toddler development! We will work on safe water entry, submersions, back floats, kicks and rollovers as we move towards independence in the water. Perfect opportunity for parent + child bonding, confidence building and social interaction.

  • 2T – Transition Level

    Ages 2–3 | 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio

The 2T class is a gentle transition for swimmers who have completed our Parent & Me program and are ready to begin swimming independently, without a parent in the water. With a smaller class ratio, instructors provide extra support as swimmers adjust to this next step.

    This level focuses on:

    • Building independence in the water

    • Reinforcing water safety fundamentals

    • Front and back floats

    • Short independent swims with support

    • Comfort separating from a parent

2T serves as a bridge between Parent & Me and Level 1A, helping young swimmers gain confidence before moving into larger group lessons.

    Level 1A / 1B – Beginner

No prior independent swim experience required

    • Level 1A: Ages 2.5–3.5

    • Level 1B: Ages 3.5 and up

These introductory levels focus on building comfort and confidence in the water while emphasizing water safety fundamentals. Swimmers learn to float, glide, and swim independently up to 15 feet, practice breath control, and begin developing strong foundational skills.

    Level 2 – Skill Development

Prerequisite: Mastery of Level 1 skills

Swimmers continue building confidence and independence while strengthening technique and endurance. New skills introduced include:

    • Freestyle

    • Backstroke

    • Dolphin kicks

    • Treading water

    Level 3 – Stroke Progression

    Prerequisite: Proficiency in Level 2

At this level, swimmers are considered water-safe and begin swimming the full length of the pool. Instruction focuses on refining technique and increasing endurance, with new skills including:

    • Side breathing

    • Breaststroke kick

    • Somersaults

    Level 4 – Advanced Technique

    Prerequisite: Proficiency in Level 3

Swimmers should be comfortable swimming multiple lengths of the pool with consistency and control. This level emphasizes advanced stroke development and efficiency, including:

    • Breaststroke

    • Butterfly

    • Flip turns

    Adult Group Lessons

    5:1 student-to-instructor ratio
    Ages 15 and up

Adult lessons are tailored to meet swimmers at their current comfort and ability level — whether you’re new to the water or refining technique. Classes are offered in a 45-minute group format, with private lessons available upon request.

  • Semi-private and private class scheduling is available upon request. These are great for older students who have little to no experience; special needs students; or students who would like to focus on 1 or 2 specific skills.

Please contact the office if you’re interested in a private class option.

  • What is Swim Blitz:

Swim Blitz sessions are a great way to increase progress and learning quickly. Swim Blitz sessions follow the same structure as our weekly swim lessons; however, our Swim Blitz sessions bundle multiple days of swim lessons together within one week.

    Levels offered: 1-3

My 2.5 year old always looks forward to our weekly swim lesson with Shiloh! She is so patient and natural with children (better than me and I am a parent ) while also being a professional. We are so thankful we have her to help develop such a vital skill!
